Hello!

Welcome to a little garden of my evolving thoughts, beliefs, and ideas. I often find it valuable to know how others think, and want to make it reasonably easy for me to share my thoughts with others. Note: currently pretty barren, just set it up! But I’m aiming for something more like slow sustainable growth of this space—adding and improving a few notes here and there rather than e.g. larger weekly or monthly posts. This will also be where I write up my notes on a whole lot of papers.

At any given (reasonably waking) time, I’m likely thinking about:

• AI progress
• spaced repetition
• fog-of-war chess
• adversarial robustness
• LLM evaluations
• morale
• how I want to live

I’m well aware that transparency can have downsides—whether it’s by virtue of this site being scraped, or if any ideas here reflect poorly on me to some individual. I’m still deciding whether I’d like this site to be completely public, but in the meantime, you’ll need to enter a password provided by yours truly to get legible text from each non-index page. Feel free to reach out if you’d like one, I’ll have a low bar for giving out access. Sometime in the future, I’ll aim to transition to mostly-public + some small private portions.

Feel free to wander around and explore! I don’t know what, if anything, you’ll get out of it, but enjoy! Updates daily around noon PST.
